  1. Thanks all, advice and pointers much appreciated!
  2. Hey All! I'm an enthusiastic amatuer, been browsing around this site the past week :) 37 years old, recently had my first Blacksmithing Class here in Ireland, and was completely hooked! :D *wave* looking forward to learning more, and participating as much as I can. Site is a wealth of information, it's great to see so much information shared freely.
  3. Morning All, I'm an enthusiastic amateur recently signed up from Ireland, and have been trawling through the wealth of information on site site over the last few days. :D Quite unexpectedly browsing round an old junk shop I came across an old English Leg Vice yesterday, and snipped it up (after checking the screw and screw box) for 20 euro. It's pretty rusted, but in OK shape - jaws meet and the spring seems fine. I was looking to tidy it up a bit and was wondering if there is a set way for dismanteling the vice? I removed the screw and screwbox (currently soaking in diesel to remove old "gunk" before re-greasing) I just wanted to check (pic attached) that the next part is where the main body of the vice is dismantled? Thanks all! :)
