sounds like a problem with the plasma you may try calling the maker of the plasma if its hypertherm they have a great tech suport as well

It is hard to get coal around my area of arkansas and im in anderson indiana for work does anyone know if there is any avalable with in an hr or so of here thanks for help in advance

its going on an 05 dodge crew cab and i hadn't thought about using flat bar like that to attach it

im still farly new to forging but i have a guy that wants me to makehim a set of steps for his truck he wants twist look but solid stock would be way to heavy. i know from my years of fabrication u can fill the tube with sand to get a smooth bend with out having a mandrel set up will this work with twisting

ok been doing this for about a month now and it has gone from a curiosity to an obsesion ive done dont even know how many spike knives door pulls and tongs i love it wishi had started forging years ago

Hello my name is Kyle. I set up a small forge at my house and started forging iron a couple weeks ago. I realy dont have a clue what im doing but im enjoying learning. I come from an custom Automotive fabrication and railroad back ground so im not completly ignorant when it come to metal working but this is my first atempt at forging. i have made a few spike knives but thats it so far. I dont have many tools for this stuff but im making do so far I do have a good anvil and a few hammers other than that im working with plyers and vise grips. i guess my Question is is there anyone close to here that would let me swing by and get some advice and point me in the direction of some good tongs and such.
