I just wanted to come back to this thread to say "Thanks" for the replies.

I had a mental block and wasn't able to think of anything to do. So I figured I would practice basics.
just trying to make tapers of various preplanned lengths.
OK so far.I did not put eyes or a mouth on this one, but a friends son likes it enough that he keeps it on his desk at home.
What? Kinda like 2 different thoughts. The snake has a tapered tail?

HOWEVER. I am STILL waiting to hear the "Wobbly-Headed Doll Caper!"
Apparently it's from a TV show called Firefly.

I get mine at Tractor Supply, they are located near the chopper blades for bush hogs.
I'm gonna give Tractor Supply a shot. Thanks for the tip. -

The Hardy Fuller is very similar to a Hardy Chisel except that it has a very blunt and rounded cutting edge.

I'm bumping this back to the top because I have the same question as the OP. (original poster)
Pardon my ignorance but when somebody refers to a "buzz box..." Is that a stick welder?
I'm thinking about buying the Clarke that Jose recommends below. Is the welder below a stick welder?
I've never done any arc welding. Should I consider something else? Keep in mind that it needs to be cheap... The consumables need to be cheap too because I'm going to be going through them practicing.
If this will do what you need then go for it. If not then you might look into this Clarke 131E Arc Welder - 120V, 130 Amp, Model# WE6519 it's a lot more machine for a little more money. -
A couple cold packs for more sanitary treatment of burns. Burns infect much more easily than most skin penetrating wounds so a soak in the slack tub can result in infection. Some guys keep a little bleach in their slack tubs but I don't like it's corrosion promoting characteristics and it evaporates pretty quickly too.
Not to mention that dead rat I found in my 5 gallon bucket of murky black water the other day... -
This is my worst so far.
