Love this sight glad i finaly joined. Well I like midevil stuff so blacksmithing was for me . I make a lot of scrap metal monsters between 4" tall and 7'4" with a 12 1/2 foot wing span. Some stainless armor. Knives. Maces, battle ax's not all forged though. what i refer to as evil metal art using lots of chain and barbed wire, saw blades you know the fun stuff. I do repair and minor fab for extra $.
As far as schooling The center for metal arts taught me a lot ! Uri hofi basic class and power hammer class, Fred christ class. Are some of the classes from thear a great school and the owners are some of the nicest people iv ever met.
At the New England school of metal work iv done a damascus class under don fogg. a knife class under nick rossie and herb ... a few other classes there as well.
I recently joined the Capital District Blacksmith Assocation a local group near me.
I love my 4 dogs very much and i alwase listen to loud viking metal wile pounding metal. Ill put some pic's up when i figur out how. if anyone lives near me let me know well meet up. looking foward to talking with you all and im very happy to join such a cool sight
