I tend to like this type of art, but having a handle on a sword whilst forging the blade is just poor.

Happens in films all the time because it is simpler to buy cheap swords and use them as props...without removing the hilts.

It is much like "blacksmiths" who hit the anvil first and bounce it off the horseshoe with the rebound blow.
