Richard Furrer Posted January 18, 2013 I tend to like this type of art, but having a handle on a sword whilst forging the blade is just poor. Happens in films all the time because it is simpler to buy cheap swords and use them as props...without removing the hilts. It is much like "blacksmiths" who hit the anvil first and bounce it off the horseshoe with the rebound blow. Ric Quote Link to comment

thingmaker3 Posted January 21, 2013 I think pre-steel age they used bronze for their swords. Iron would suck for a sword. Clearly this fellow is scrapping out some captured swords - he's going to make a tiara from them. Quote Link to comment
