  1. My story begins in 1988. I was watching my uncle repair a plow, and he said. "Come here and give me a hand." After that he gave me a project. A bowie style knife made out of some old bed railing. After that I was hooked. I built a forge out of a metal 5 gallon bucket. It's been with me the last 17 years. Jason Duncan
  2. My first forge was a home built job. Consited of a metal 5 gallon bucket packed with fire clay. The top had a piece of stove pipe, and it was a side blast model. I cut a 6"x6" slot in the side to serve as a work door, and the blower was a vacuum cleaner motor with a lighting dimmer switch on it. Screw a few legs to it, and you are ready to work.
