Today I got me a deer antler to use for a knife handle but the only problem is that I have no idea how to make a hidden tang Knife. All that I have made is RR spike knives and full tang knives. Also, do you put any kind of finish on the antlers or just leave it like it is? Anything would help.

I was wondering how to brown steel. I have seen pictures of it but I can't figure out how to do it. Also is there anything to do to steel to protect it better than just bare metal and 3-in-1 oil?

One thing about ebay is that there is always some dum guy out there willing to sell something for nothing. I have sold a few things on ebay but you have to sell it on "buy it now" or "fixed price" and have really good pictures otherwise you will lose your tail most of the time. also you need a paypal account. Sometimes people don't like to buy from someone with 0 feedbacks so what I did was searched for some 1cent free shipping auctions for guitar picks or beads and just bought a bunch of those. you can get a hundred feedbacks for just a dollar that way. It all depends on what people want. Things usually sell good around Christmas time to. A lot of sellers say they sell out at Christmas. Ebay is good for buying on though. That is where I get most of my supplies and tools.

Hi everyone I am new to the forum and just wanted to get familiar. I started blade making about a year ago when I wanted some throwing knives. I made them from some old files. A guy at church got me into forging RR spike knives and now I just make and sell tomahawks and knives in my spare time after school.
