Evenin' I have this new project that I started, rebuilding a found drill press,what it needs is a column slide/swivel table mount/motor & mount/ drill chuck and the shaft that goes into the quill/, so far I have been working on the column slide[have the table] I also have drill chuck- the motor and step pulley,plus a found goose neck lamp for the drill press,when I am finished I plan to paint the base / motor -mount and the rest of the head piece dark green with a little silverpaint mixed in,just a little info of whats going on in my shop at this time. The drill press is going to be a present for one of my friends,he's going to suprised. camphor

Can quarters and dimes be TIG welded to a copper plate for a belt buckle,one would have to be very carefull with the fumes produced from working copper alloyes-copper fume fever is bad stuff. camphor

HI the shim is mild steel 3/16"x 1"- 85 amps /125amps- TIG torch is model 17v weldcraft- using straight argon gas 20/25 cfm -torch electrod is 2%, I am using my Miller stick welding machine,I tried to weld with this setup once before had the torch hooked to positive side on DC should have had torch hooked to negetive side of DC . does this sound correct. camphor

Hi Charlotte, I am making a drill press table support that slides up and down the drill press collumn, making the piece from 3" sch 40 black iron pipe,needed to shim the inside dia., of the pipe and want to TIG weld the shim in place,though this would be a good place to start my learning of TIG welding. camphor

Hi, KEN, have you made anything on your lathe, my first project was a little compressed air engine,it has a 1/4 bore/5/16 stroke runs good and I had a great time making it. camphor.

Hello. I have TIG welding torch that I hook up to my stick welder, what I need to know is how far do I set the tungston rod past the end of the cup. I have the torch hook to the negetive side of the welder, postive goes to the work, any help would be great. camphor
