This hammer was one of my mentors and friends as a young man. Gilmour Barbour, Kellerton Iowa U.S.A. owned it until his sale when I bought it. The last time I saw Gilmour he was under a combine on the ground on his back welding something. He was I believe 84 at that time ( stick welder only ). True shop man and I dearly miss him. He could braze anything, torch weld and run the lathe. I plan to place this hammer in the new Threshers shop and dedicate it to him. I also have a Boss hammer but no pics of it yet. It will replace the Kerrihard in the home shop.
