Its that time of year again, make the pilgrimage to Finch Foundry on Saturday November 20th from 9.30 on free entry for all, this is a National Trust property and there is usually a charge for entry.

This years fum competition is to make a Chestnut Roaster, bring your own materials, or just come along and have a play on the forges, or watch.

Firing the anvil and the waterwheel powered machinery will be demo'ed,

There will be bacon butties and beer for the competitors, and at night in the local hostelry an entertaining evening.

I've managed to organise my diary right this year, so i'll be there John Steel and hammer in hand ;)
