Alfie Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 (edited) I have about 100ft of steel cable from the barge that serves as the family workshop. It is straight steel cables (not galvy or stainless). It's fairly heavily rusted, but is free for anyone who wants it. It is in penryn, so pm if you're interested Edited December 24, 2008 by Alfie clarity and location Quote
divermike Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I'd love some!! Can you put about 10 feet on a slow boat to New York? Well it was just a thought!! Merry Christmas! Quote
Alfie Posted December 24, 2008 Author Posted December 24, 2008 It would be my pleasure however, it may be more economical to buy it new, and pay a trained gibbon with no legs to forge it into nice round bar... Quote
Lysdexik Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Jethro says that Denzil Penberthy is driving a tunnel from the bottom of Wheal Jane to Nova Scotia, he uses one legged gibbons as labour (but it makes them hopping mad). So Mike might be able to get some of the cable cheap, my regards to all in the Kingdom of Cornwall. Paul. Quote
