Pault17
I had time on my hands in the welding class I taking so I made a few new tools. Bear in mind that my anvil is one of the ugly russian HF cast steel jobs, so my hardie post has to be 1-1/8 inch and on the diamond to be useful. hardie hot cut made from an old splitting wedge scissor-type guillotine with tenon holes drilled in - I learned that the pivot point was not well thought out because the 3/16 hole closest to the pivot just shears the tenon sideways. it's okay because I made three blank bottom sections. the pick head is used for a saddle (forks, split hearts, and such) and the little trailer hitch ball is regularly used for forming seamless shovel heads another tool I made was a handled twisting wrench. not perfect but it works. Warrigal
Well done mate some real inspiration there. I'm currently trying to belt/forge half a full six pick head into a hot cutting hardie. I have never welded and don't have access to one ( a welder) at this point. I particularly liked your twisting wrench. Carl
