Jim Bow Posted October 18, 2008 Share Posted October 18, 2008 I am a recently retired new resident of Portland Oregon. I am currently setting up a workshop in a two car garage. A couple of months before I retired, I found an early '50s Atlas 10F at an estate sale. $200. The guy was selling it as part of his father's estate, the father had been a toolmaker and this was his hobby/home lathe. Here's the funny part. The son/seller was over 60 years old. He broke part of the lathe when he was 15! It had been sitting, covered with a tarp, for 45 years. I found the broken part on Ebay for $99 and now I'm cleaning the whole thing, bit by bit, and re lubing and assembling. Now I need some ideas on what to do with it!
