October 16, 200817 yr Hello, I'm Earl and I have been playing with metal for about 2 years. Can't call myself a blacksmith yet...Soon though. I work in a ornamental iron shop during the day. My backyard shop is almost complete. Should finish this weekend. Thanks for the forum. I dig it.

I'm curious , what is this spiritual mumbo jumbo about cast versus forged hammers? I've been lurking around this site for a while, and lately it seems to be a hot topic.
