Hey folks, I’m very new to this anvil stuff and just recently acquired a 129# Trenton with the serial number I 78185 and was told by a friend that someone on this website might be able to help me find some information about my anvil. I would very much appreciate any help anybody could provide. Thanks so very much.

According to Anvils in America by Richard Postman your anvil was born in in 1920 and was made by Columbus Forge & Iron Company.

Welcome from the Ozark mountains. If you post some pictures more info may come to light, besides that we love pictures. I hope you have read about not going any grinding, milling or welding on the hardened face, which will do more harm than good.
