Martial Art
Hello, Just found this site and am checking things out. I do a bit of metalcasting as a hobby and it would be really handy--and safer--to be able to make some tools (tongs, etc.) the right way. I have a half-finished brake drum forge from last year and just picked up a railroad track anvil from a Thrift Store, so I think it's time to try it out. I also just cut down some large Cottonwood trees with several 'rounds' available to make an anvil stand. I have several garbage bags of homemade charcoal that I made this summer and I figure this would be a good place to use some of it . Seems to be a lot of great information here to help both new and experienced smiths.
