Hello team. What's everyone on a good source of temp sticks/crayons for heat treating. My iron maxes out at 600 degrees.

welding supply biss they can get any temp you need

if you need to KNOW a certain temp like say 350 degs I would get a 350 & a 300 temp stick

once the 300 melts you know youre very close to 350 degs

Get  mine from my welding supply    generally limit out at around 500 which is the normal limit of preheat.   I usually try to use one low, one on and one above target
