The point of making your own, especially for the new guys Peyton is the skills that get improved. I can afford to purchase any tool I desire, but choose to make them. It's kind of cool to look at the progression of my tongs from the first pair to the latest. Anyway Kevin, the tongs you bought look like real nice ones to me. I still suggest you take the time to make a few pairs. Almost all the basic blacksmithing moves are involved and you might as well practice on something that's useful.
