Animosh
does the corn leave clinker type stuff afterwards?
capnroo
After the first fire, I just used the "coked " corn from the previous fire, and a propane torch to get it started. Very easily. Corn does not leave ""clinkers", but after about 5 fires there will be a whitish tan substance that clings to your grate, which is kinda hard to get off. I recently got my hands on a bag of coal, and it is by far better than corn. I used a few double handfuls of coal for the time in which I would have gone through half a sack of corn... ThorsHammer82
that tan substance is clinkers. though just not as much as you might get with coal. Just look at the "dealing with clinkers thread and the clinker that Glenn posted (pg2).
