Don A
Based on one of my earlier posts, I would really appreciate it if any and all would elaborate on techniques for forging a uniform right-angle. Let's say 1/2" or 5/8" square stock in a coal forge only; no torch.Always seems to be more than one way to skin a cat. Don

HWooldridge
There are a couple ways to do this. I actually prefer to do a glut weld by cutting the stock partway through and bending hot to get a sharp inside corner then sticking a piece in the remaining void and forge welding it to make the outside corner. I started using this method because I find it to be less work, more accurate and faster. The other, more traditional way is to bend as normal and start upsetting in two different directions so each leg pushes material into the outside corner. You don't work on the corner as much as working on the legs to get the material to upset. Hope this makes sense.
Strine
With no time to explain anything it is a matter of making about a 70d bend and upsetting in the vicinity of this bend to fill out the radius gradually increasing the angle to 90d. There's a bit on it herehttp://www.iforgeiron.com/blueprints-200-300/bp0295-nail-in-hooks.html
