Butterfield Posted February 4, 2013 Share Posted February 4, 2013 So, I've been learning how to use my forge, with some trial and error and disappointing heats. I'm using lump charcoal because I am in town and plan on making my own. From what I've read here I needed a deeper fire, but I didn't want to burn a whole bag of charcoal at a time. So, I got some firebrick and made a firepot with an angle-iron frame: I've had a chance to use it yesterday and today and feel like it is working out well.
