mechanicsage
Hey Fellow blacksmiths and farriers alike, I just picked up a old silent 200 blower with the main body missing and the shaft missing, wondering what's the best way to attach motor to it instead, i want a good solid blower for use in my home non portable forge, also, what do you guys think of the resto so far, just sanding back the years of rust and abuse,
HWooldridge
Your cleanup looks good so far. Just fab a bracket to go on it for the motor - most anything that is sturdy and won't let the fan collide with the housing will work. IIRC, C-frame motors mount on the end; you might be able to find one and make an adaptor from a piece of plate to mount it.
