jmccustomknives
I've got a show coming up that will require me to do demonstrations. I'm looking to purchase a small gas forge for shop use but somewhat portable. I want one that will get to forge welding temps. Any experience? Suggestions? jcornell
I've got a show coming up that will require me to do demonstrations. I'm looking to purchase a small gas forge for shop use but somewhat portable. I want one that will get to forge welding temps. Any experience? Suggestions? How small is small? Commercial or home-build? The 3lb coffee can forge is quite portable, but might not be big enough for your shop. The Chili and Diamondback forges have some smallish one-burner models that are luggable. I'm replacing my firebrick forge with a coffee can forge and one built out of a helium tank (two forges), so I have a small demo-sized forge and a larger, general purpose.
