wmrhoward
Just saying hello, a good friend got me to attend a 5 day "basics" class given by Mark Aspery. Real class name was MASTERY of basics. First time I ever tried hitting hot steel. Great class and now I'm gathering stuff for a small shop. I have reasonable hammer, getting smallest gas frorge from DiamondBack and looking for an anvil substitute. I can't afford a 100# + anvil so will have to improvise until funds available. I found this site while looking for info on propane regulator (got what I need, I think) and have been browsing for the last hour or so. Looking forward to participating with the membership and learning a lot.
Ferrous Beuler
Welcome aboard Wm.! It sounds like you are off to a good start. Suggestion- check out [ABANA] The Artist Blacksmith's Association of North America, Inc. and click on "affiliates". Look for your area and you will likely find a group of blacksmiths near you. Good luck and keep on hammerin'! Dan :)
