IRO-bot
I asked you folks about an old Vulcan anvil a few days ago. After taking your advise, I looked a little harder and found a more serviceable 100# vulcan in Kentucky. The guy met me half way to show me this rust bucket. Here it is soaking in pb blaster After the PB Blaster bath, I took a little 80 grit to the face and body, and hit the body with a little bit of High Temperature engine paint. It has a few dings, but I will work around them for $120!!! What do you guys think?
David Gaddis
I think you have a winner ...esp for the price you paid. There are some bad spots but you can easily dodge them. And there are still edges that are usable. Some here do not like Vulcan...and I do not know either...but it is waaaayyyyy better shape that the PW I purchased for a whole lot more money. It looks to me like it was not used so very much...but incorrectly...at least several incorrect hits left their marks. Good luck
matei campan
I'd put a radius on the dented area, a feature that could be useful .
