    Dick, I have used my practice hearts for the same thing. Around hear we just make do with what we have on hand.

    Love it. :D That's one of the great things with this craft I think - just because it hasn't worked out for your original plan, doesn't mean it's rubbish. It just means it has a different purpose. :)
