john_zxz
Hi, I saw these parts made of cast iron to reduce the size of the fire in Europe but I can't seem to find a place to buy them in North America. Does anyone know a dealer, or have a clue on how to make them? I'm using clean anthracite as fuel and since it doesn't coke up, water doesn't help me that much. I have a 12" round coke firepot from Centaur Forge. Thanks John_zXz
781
I break a fire brick in half and use these pieces with damp dirt to reduce the size. I use charcoal as heat source
john_zxz
Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try that. Wont cost anything, I like it.
781
I have a cast fire pot from Roger Lawrence, IL sells which is simmilar to the SOFA pot. It is square and tappers as it goes down about 3/4 of a fire brick at the top to 1/4 brick at the bottom I set the 1.2 brick down into the pot I do small things and leave about a 3 inch opening between the bricks Charcoal burns fast enough without heating a square foot
