My father inherited it from a friend of his who did blacksmithing as a hobby., and now I have inherited it from him. There are no other markings other than the "M" that is in the pictures. I have never head of some one using a M. The shape of the anvil looks like a cast steel Columbian. Where are you? America, Britain, Zanzibar. Location can sometimes help identified tools. I have been working a lot of overtime and out of town and then the computer finaly gave up the ghost forcing me to buy a new one. I am in Texas by the way.
