I really cant call myself a sword-smith yet but I have just purchased everything and will be making my first sword in 11 days and counting! Very excited! Joseph Tinsley Posted September 8, 2011 Share Posted September 8, 2011 Have you ever smithed at all before. if not i would not suggest starting with anything close to a sword. do general blacksmithing to get to know the way metal moves and the techniques used to do so. if you have, start with small knives and such. being a newbie to swords can be dangerous to you and the people around you. they take alot more patience and skill to make than any other blades.
