stumpynubs Posted April 23, 2011 Share Posted April 23, 2011 1911: M&H ARMITAGE MOUSEHOLE FORGE SHEFFIELD ENGLAND WARRNANTED (mouse) HOLE PATENT I believe the logo on your anvil was used in 1911 by Mousehole Forge in England. I say this because of the order of the words. The same logo appeared on the 1879 edition EXCEPT that one left off the word "England". The numbers 3.3.8 translate into a weight of 432 pounds. I am very glad that I am the owner of the anvil such an old and venerable company. Sufficiently large anvil, usually in М. smaller size.
