OUCH
Hi, Just an idea (mainly because I have one available) anyone tried using a boiler burner from a natural gas hot water boiler. Hook it up to propane for forge use ? would make a nice ribbon type burner, any thoughts?
leighwill
Hi there ouch. this is a good idea but these boilers dont normally run on lpg, to make it work efficiently it would need the nipples changing to a finer bore type for use with lpg. but these kits are only about £75 sterling and are really easy to change. leigh
David Ab
Hi, Just an idea (mainly because I have one available) anyone tried using a boiler burner from a natural gas hot water boiler. Hook it up to propane for forge use ? would make a nice ribbon type burner, any thoughts? Hey Ouch, I appreciate you bringing up that question, because I just tore apart an old water heater to get sheet metal to build my forge, and now I'm thinking I'll save the burner from the heater, so if I build a bigger forge I'll be able to put smaller orifices on that one and use it.
