January 20, 201115 yr This is my first attempt at any sort of a blade. I started out with a 3" bolt from a leaf spring bracket. Total length at finish is about 6". I did the shaping and edge by hammer then fine tuned it with bench mounted belt sander. I'm not sure if I will wrap the handle with wire/cord or just leave it as is. (really need to work on putting an edge on blades, or should I say, an even edge.)
