July 30, 201015 yr As with most things, skillful application of things like critical heat, manual dexterity, timing and the proper use of tools all come into play and can make all the difference when it comes to satisfying the customer and have them return again for future artistic endeavors. If you`re very good they may even tell their friends! What colour should they be when you dip them in the water?
July 30, 201015 yr Author Hi, guys. Maybe I shouldn't say this, I don't mean to be a party pooper, but we do have lady smiths on this forum and maybe we should end this line of banter. :(
July 30, 201015 yr Hi, guys. Maybe I shouldn't say this, I don't mean to be a party pooper, but we do have lady smiths on this forum and maybe we should end this line of banter. Have any of them complained?
July 30, 201015 yr Author Have any of them complained? I'm not trying to start a row, and certainly no one has complained in this thread. I'm simply suggesting that sometimes what seems harmless from one person's perspective isn't from another. It's merely a suggestion, but it comes from personal experience. Many times on forums things are said without due consideration to all that will "hear" them. While I don't think any of the comments here were made with intentional disrespect I don't think they are particularly considerate of our female members. They may never read them and may never complain if they do but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't consider them when we post. Just my point of view. Take it for what it's worth.
July 31, 201015 yr What colour should they be when you dip them in the water? I find that all involved usually benefit from a dip once the work is completed.Dip too soon and you run the risk of ruining their good temper. I do know that if they turn blue you have held them under too long.
July 31, 201015 yr Bob is obviously a complete master of the english language and I hope to someday have his eloquence with words. I am much more to the point and blunt. All should learn from his mastery. Keep up the good words Bob Rob
July 31, 201015 yr Nice to hear you're a true craftsman Bob Rob Like most who have dedicated their lives to their chosen trade I aspire to someday become a master and proudly hang out a shingle of my own, perhaps even teach my techniques. Untold hours of practice are required before mastery is attained. The sacrifices we must make for our craft. :)
