wlbrown Posted October 1, 2006 Share Posted October 1, 2006 HELLO TO ALL, new member here. retired machinist, 77 years old. have a small shop. bridgeport clone, (JET, JTM-1) metal lathe, TIG welder, MILLER, BOBCAT 250, and lots of tooling. also dabble in blacksmithing, coal forge, and gas forge. just for hobby, mine are freebees. just discovered this website, hope to lean some things, and maybe contribute some. hobbies, metalworking, woodworking,welding, music. canman Posted October 3, 2006 Share Posted October 3, 2006 Hello from Ga. I am a machinist also . Wish I was retired. Work keeps getting in the way of my hobbies. I am working as a maintenance machinist now. It is no fun, nothing new. I worked in a job shop for 12 years, now that was cool........ Any how, I too have a machine shop at home so I do have a little fun and make a buck every now and then, although most jobs are for free. I have some good neighbors and farmer friends who keep me busy, mostly repaying favors and such. Glad you are on board.
