Seamus
Greetings Awl Let's see. Moved to rural Indiana from one of the U.S.'s Steel capitals, so naturally it was when I was surrounded by corn that I developed an interest in blacksmithing. Got interested in "appropriate technology" self sufficiency, voluntary simplicity and alla that and thence Roy Underhill The Woodwright's Shop and thence Don WeberDon Weber's Handcraft Woodworks Both of them make, or made their own tools at one time or another and so naturally....Wife suggested I take a summer week long class at the local U in blacksmithing 2 years ago and that was it. Not sure which I prefer, yet, woodworking or blacksmithing, but both give me an excuse to go to auctions and acquire old tools. Member of I.B.A.Iba altho have not really attended due to proximity, the price of fuel, and to many Honeydo's... In Ohio there's a closer bunch:OKI Forgers I joined up with them too. The president's wife decided he had at least one too many anvils so I got that and then attendance at various farm auctions lead to the rest. More than you could want to know about me here:Flickr: Photos from coalandice Howzzat?
