August 24, 200916 yr Hi im Ben. Im 15 and have just started blacksmithing, I have always loved blacksmithing since as long as I can remember. Any way iwas wondering if there were any blacksmiths near Carleton place Ont. Thanks Ben
August 24, 200916 yr welcome to the love affair! my two cents..... No one person knows it all or how to do it all. Learn from as many as you can. Learn to do the same thing from several ppl as each may do it differently then choose what works for you. Just because it didn't work out the first 10 times just means you learned 10 things not to do on the way to the one that does. Do not work frustrated. Take ideas you get from other smiths on your work in a positive way as they are said with a helping and knowledgeable voice. Dennis
August 26, 200916 yr Hello Ben!!! Hehe that sounds kinda funny to me....my name is Ben!! XD Anywho welcome to IFI, I am 17 only a bit older then you and I started smithing a few months ago. I can tlel you it is amazing I love everything about it, I hope you find as much enjoyment and fulfillment with it as I have and plan to for the rest of my life! Unfortunately I don't know anyone who lives near you, and neither do I, but if you ever have any questions feel free to PM me.
