August 1, 200916 yr Hi everyone... it's been a really long time since i was last here. had been busy trying to come up with solutions for vibration control. in the end, i was only 20% successful. ah well. anyways, i installed solidworks on my laptop for designing dies. the trouble is i don't know if it can reverse design. what i mean is, if i draw out the part which i want to manufacture on my closed die hammer on solidworks, will solid works design a closed die around the part and gimme the blueprints for the die? if this is possible, can someone please tell me how. many thanks. August 1, 200916 yr I think that is the sort of thing Solidworks customer support should be able to help you with.
August 6, 200916 yr Author ummmm them i cannot contact... cause its er.... kinda a cracked version i am using :P
August 6, 200916 yr If you like this program perhaps you should buy it, That should include a manual, so then you will know how to use its features. IFI does not condone pirating.
August 11, 200916 yr I don't think they are going to ask you for your serial code and you can usually find the help line number on there website. That said at school we have solid works and there is a way to designe a mold then invert it into a mold... That said I have no memory how to do it, it is for mold making.
August 11, 200916 yr I googled "solidworks" In .22 seconds, I got 8,280,000 hits. This was one of them... SolidWorks :: 3D CAD Design Software Man I'm tired :D
August 11, 200916 yr Have to admit that I have some sympathy for "off shore" software piracy. How many here would be willing to spend a years pay on a program. I'd probably want a "cracked" version too.
