  1. This is one an old man told me many years ago, seems appropriate for the times. " All progress is change, however, not all change is progress"
  2. Check out this site Hawk Saw Blades. They sell circular blades designed for metal, watch the video, guy is cutting channel like a 2X4. Patrick
  3. I've been gathering information and parts to build a propane forge. Assuming the following- relatively small size, single burner, suitable for a beginner, non blower. That being said I have the following questions- many of the forge designs feature cylindrical chambers, freon can, pipe etc. Does the cylindrical shape improve or contribute to evenness of heat? For beginning folks is there some rough size that would be best? Would a flat floor w/curved cover or top work ok? Thanks in advance Patrick
  4. Thanks for the warm welcoms, I'll probably build a propane forge, am looking and researching where to get the supplies,(refractory matl, Koawool, etc.) I have a lathe, welders and most hand tools, so hope I'll be able to get one together. Thanks again, Patrick
  5. Hello all, new guy here, old retired rocket scientest, now just doing what I want, (mostly). Am interested in building a small forge, don't have anything special in mind, just never had a forge. Patrick
