  1. i agree, niche for sure, but not about to dissapear. it seems it is going through a small renaissance.. thanks for the welcome.
  2. i would like to run on 20lb propane tanks.. i dont know if the jth7 does that. should i try to return the burner, and just order the jth7 off amazon.com? the zburner with the connection kit would give me good use from a 20 lb tank.. ~ 125$ . 350 cubic inch seems like more than i need.. just take it the extra space and be happy, or get something smaller that'll burn less fuel for a smaller space? i guess extra space makes for more even heating.
  3. yes, my intent is to forge blades, razors in particular.
  4. i grabbed the ts839, thinking it might work best out of what i saw.. i have access to the ts1500, ts4000, and perhaps the ts3000.. i havent seeen the jth7 arround.. anyone worked with the ts839? can i expect it to work okay for a two brick forge?
  5. hey.. i'm hear to learn what it takes to produce razors, european style folding razors, and japanese style straights.. i have a little previous knowledge, no formal training, but i'm determined to learn. It's nice to be here.
