I'm not new to blacksmithing. But I've only owned coal fire forges. I've used propane forges quite a bit when visiting other peoples shops. I recently had a bit of an upgrade in space at home, and would like to setup a propane forge now. I'm sure there a lot of decent forges out there, and I know a lot of people build their own, but I have a couple hundred bucks in amazon gift cards burning a hole in my pocket, and I'm wondering if there is anything worth getting from Amazon? Most of the ones I've seen there look rather cheap and/or dangerous. Some have comments saying the gas lines get hot, etc.. Does anyone here have any experience with any of the stuff on Amazon? Thanks!
