I'm of two minds to go to that sale, the 2.5hr drive there and back and waiting around for what I want, plus the fear of what else I may buy has me leaning towards nope. After all that drive if I didn't get an anvil I have to buy something to make the trip worthwhile

there is a farm auction in Ranfurly tomorrow with some anvils and a trip hammer and forges, I suspect they may go high. The last time I went to a farm aution near Lamont the first bid on the anvil was double my max price.
