  1. The u shaped piece is 3/8" square. tips are forged down to about 1/4" - 5/16" round. surgical tubing replacements for wrist rocket slingshots was used. make sure the tips are sanded smooth so nothing abrasive can cut  the tubing. Dip in rubbing alcohol and slid on about an inch. Let set overnight. Then shoot cans! made these 3 last Christmas last year for my nephews. (One 30 years old.)They loved them! They were out trying to shoot dairy cows across the road!!!!!!!!!

  2. This worked good. They are 2 1/2" long cut from 3/8" stock.I made a jig to hold them in a horizontal band saw. First cut was made down to horizontal piece on the jig. Then, after inserting 3/4" spacer block, piece was flipped & rotated 90 degrees.  After cutting in the jig, I cut 3/4 off a long leg.   made probobly 20 in 1 hour. We had Pioneer Day at our church last fall. They make good demonstration pieces after pre cutting. Folks watched like it was magic . . . It kinda is!  I hope the pictures help.

  3.  i ordered an 18 x 25 with 9' eaves, like one of those carports advertised everywhere, i did opt for a 4/12 pitch roof. made the level pad myself & put 6x6 treated posts around the perimeter (square & level) & filled with crusher run gravel.the 9' eave height alowwed for a 10' shed down both sides that i added when i could afford it. ended up with 900' enclosed. it took a little while as i did what i could afford.

the prefab shed was 2 grand. paid for it by hauling scrap metal, including my old work van that i drove for 20 years, to the Junk Monkey.(local recycling place)
