As I was cutting off a piece of tubing in my vise, it rolled way under my bench. I had to get down with a light and when I did I thought, "What's that piece of rolled up carpet in the back against the wall?" I tugged it out and there was the anvil as seen in the last three photos. I don't remember when I stuffed it under there but it had to be 45 years ago or more because I took it when we cleaned out my dads' basement after he passed away which was about the time we moved into this house.
Today I wire brushed it off and found it to be an old Peter Wright. However, I'm wondering its age and what the weight is showing. I thought it was 95 lbs but I don't think it is. The face is very flat but does have some damage at the back edges as seen. I dropped a ball bearing on it and the rebounding sound was music to my ears.
The first two pics are of a very nice Hay-Budden I bought recently.
