I'm a journeyman millwright, and before that a machinist. I've always had mechanical interests, going back to when my grandfather, a carpenter, gave me his old wood lathe and chisels at the age of 8. I've for so long wanted to test myself in moving metal. Yes, even before Forged in Fire made the art much more mainstream. I finally have an insulated garage to work in, and have the resources to at least start with building my own forge, and starting with the basic tools. I look forward to this new challenge.
