Heyo, I’m 23 and a beginner to blacksmithing and leatherworking, and I live in the ghost lake area which is west of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, as well as an high-functioning autistic and a schizophrenic. I’ve had some hands on experience, found quite a bit of reading materials, and many videos, most of them from experienced blacksmiths, and I’m hungry to learn more! I also have a very strong scientific (mostly chemistry), math, and wielding background. I’m trying to learn all blacksmithing and leatherworking, although bladesmithing is by most my favourite, I ride horseback (mostly trail riding and liberty, and working on doing some mountain riding, camp riding, and mounted archery) I also do archery and I write novels (mostly romantic fiction, I usually like to mix it with a little something!) I’m in the VERY beginning of setting up shop and hopefully I get enough practice and skills over time and save up money that I can open shop and provide various services at a fair price. I even have someone that wants to be my apprentice in the future. I have many goals in life and so little time to do them, but I take it one step at a time and with as much information as possible!
