    What is the best way to get an anvil. I’ve been looking at an Olympian hobby anvil but I’m not sure if that is the right choice.What should I go with for my first anvil?

    I want to get into blacksmithing and I would like to forge a hammer to call my own for my first real project. What type of steel should I make the hammer out of and how do I get my hands on it. I don’t know very much about steels but the one I have been looking at is W1 tool steel is that a good choice.
