  1. Our local forge-group now has a place to post pictures. http://bristolforge.shutterfly.com/ Check it out. Matt
  2. According to Postman, the Z could be the maker. A man named Zulty worked at Trenton (Columbus forge and Ironworks) from around 1900 to around 1940. I have 2 with the Z. Matt
  3. There are a couple of shots of the crane I rigged up here http://www.matthewdwalker.com/My_Homepage_Files/Page2.html It's been real handy. Matt
  4. This friend of mine has everything you need http://refractory.elliscustomknifeworks.com/ And be sure to check the forge gallery while you are there. Matt
  5. Thanks for the confirmation. At least I know that he didn't just loose my info or something like that. I signed up at a conference somewhere and he seemed to be a very likeable guy. I liked the sketchey, notes in the margin type of format. Should have checked on it before now, but he said that it would be published on a "somewhat monthly basis". Had kinda forgot about. Matt..
  6. Anyone know about this publication "Irony, the sketchbook of an apprentice blacksmith"? I had signed up with this guy for a year I think. Must have got two or three issues. Last one being Jan. 2004. Haven't heard anything more about it. Just wondering if something happened to him or what. I liked the publication. Anyone have a later issue? Matt
  7. Thanks Guys. Yea that old saw has a full 36" throat. It's a little scary, running at 6000sfp. Came from an old foundry pattern shop. I need to get some kind of gard on it. Matt.
  8. I've been happy with this building for about 5 years now. 30' x 60' http://www.matthewdwalker.com/My_Homepage_Files/Page2.html Maybe the cheapest and fastest way to dry a space. I like a dirt floor anywhere I am on my feet. matt
