I’ve been lurking and reading here for awhile and just joined up as I’m enjoying this website greatly. I’ve finally picked up a couple anvils (one ASO) this year and wanted to see if someone could identify the smaller anvil as my internet reasearch comes up dry. It’s a small 35 pound anvil with a “4” cast into it. Absolutely no ring to it but my ball bearing rebounds to around 6” on it. Is this just a cheap Chinese cast iron ASO? It has a rusty patina to it but could be newer I guess. It has some voids in it which makes me believe it’s cast. I picked it up on an estate sale of an old gentleman who was a gunsmith.
