  3. thanks for the help sir. i think it will be the 100 pounds anvil. i want to begin just with the hammer and do all my tools. i think this wold teach me a lot about blacksmithing. I am located in Brasil. Thanks for your help sir. in dollars the 44lbs anvil would be 261 dollars and the 100lbs one would be 523 dollars but have in mind that the currency of my country worth a lot less than the currency in usa so its a litle bit more dificult to me to buy this anvils. Thanks for the help sir.
  4. Hi, i am new here and i am starting at blacksmithing. I have some doubts about my first anvil. I have two options a 44lbs or a 100lbs anvil both made of 4140 with 55 rockwell. What i want to know is if can i do the same projects in both anvils or not and what can i make with this tipe of anvils and if this anvils are good or not for a beginer. i know that bigger i heavier its better in this case but the 100 lbs one its kinda expensive for me. my biggest doubt is if the 44lbs anvil will perform well like the 100lbs or almost as well or not. please help me here guys i am getting crazy.
